Students enjoy the challenge of the ropes course activity.
The low ropes course has five elements. Students learn spotting skills and participate in trust activities when they still have their feet on the ground. In groups of three, students then take turns at the ropes course.
As well as being challenging, it is a very positive experience as students learn to support each other.
Year 5/6 example: Can you work in a group/team when faced with challenging situations?
Australian Curriculum links: Devise strategies and formulate plans to assist in the completion of challenging tasks and the maintenance od personal safety.
Participate positively in groups and teams by encouraging others and negotiating roles and responsibilities.
